VEWS' Annual Holiday Open Barn on Dec 6 was so much fun!!  Volunteers, family, and friends enjoyed lots of yummy treats with hot cocoa and cider, extra time with the horses, and pictures with Santa.  Our rescue mare Jasmine was perfectly-behaved for every pic with guests and the jolly ole man. We are so grateful to be one of the recipients of the Ursula Landsrath Animal Rescue Fund Grants for 2026!  Ursula Landsrath founded the Animal Rescue Fund of Virginia in 2008 as an independent organization distributing more than $1 million to Virginia based animal rescues before shutting down grantmaking in 2017 when she became seriously ill.  In 2019, Ursula's husband and friends created the Ursula Landsrath Animal Rescue Fund within the Community Foundation when Ursula passed, to ensure...

VEWS' annual bbq fundraiser on Oct 18 was a total success!  Great food, farm tours, horse meet and greet, silent auction and raffles, live music and best of all....a ton of money raised to help us and our mission to rescue, rehab and rehome horses.  Thanks to everyone who participated, attended, and donated.  We could not do it without you!!!!
