Saturday Sept 26 was a great Fall-like day for our final volunteer education clinic for this year. Many thanks to the organizers, educators, and attendees for a fun and informative afternoon. Clinics like these are so important as our volunteers practice strategies and tools that help them with their horsemanship skills.

Thank you to the Science Museum of Virginia for donating free tickets to the film "Horse Power" showing at its IMAX Theater through Dec 31. VEWS' volunteers will be able to view this epic film, which looks at horses, wild and domesticated, from around the world. How fitting that this movie highlights horses and their inseparable bond with humans! Thank you Science Museum of Virginia!!

Our awesome trainer Ashley led a small group clinic on groundwork for volunteers on Aug 30. Volunteers got lots of hands-on experience with all our rescue horses, working on the basics and some games for horses and their humans. A very successful day!
