Thank you Ursula Landsrath Animal Rescue Fund

We are so grateful to be one of the recipients of the Ursula Landsrath Animal Rescue Fund Grants for 2026!  Ursula Landsrath founded the Animal Rescue Fund of Virginia in 2008 as an independent organization distributing more than $1 million to Virginia based animal rescues before shutting down grantmaking in 2017 when she became seriously ill.  In 2019, Ursula's husband and friends created the Ursula Landsrath Animal Rescue Fund within the Community Foundation when Ursula passed, to ensure her grantmaking legacy would live on.  Our grant will be used to provide farrier care for our rescue horses, which is vital to our horses' overall health.  Two words that don't sound like enough, but "thank you" to the Ursula Landsrath Animal Rescue Fund for helping VEWS care for equines in need.
