VEWS Student Program

In addition to rescuing, rehabbing, and rehoming horses, VEWS is an active member of the community through several outreach programs.  One program offers students from Patrick Henry High School in Hanover the opportunity to work alongside volunteers on Friday morning shifts.  Led by Shift Lead Lisa Poe and teacher Kim Ragsdale, students get a taste of real-world work at the VEWS barn.   Zach, currently in the program, enjoys his time at VEWS and said his favorite parts are "the horses and the cats."
